Private Academic Support Alongside ABA Therapy

Forced to choose between ABA therapy, or traditional school?
Now, you can have both.
For many families, it feels like an impossible choice: continue the intensive support your child needs through ABA therapy, or enroll them in a traditional school before they're truly ready. They miss out on many supports by choosing one or the other.
Mission Ready Academy bridges that gap. Students can receive individualized academic instruction with a certified educator, while continuing to build the skills they need at ABA therapy. This way they can make meaningful progress both educationally and developmentally, without falling behind in either category!

Our ultimate Mission is this: helping each child confidently transition into their least restrictive environment.

MEET THE TEACHERS
Our teachers provide one-on-one tutoring and instruction for every enrolled student. Meet our lovely teachers!
A Private Autism School Option That Gives Your Child the Best of Both Worlds

When a child needs intensive ABA therapy, families shouldn't have to choose between treatment and a good education.
Mission Ready Academy is a specialized academic program of Nova Supports for students with disabilities receiving center-based ABA therapy. We provide individualized instruction alongside your child’s existing treatment. We aid you and your family by helping your child continue building academic and functional skills, all while preparing for their next steps.

ABA & Autism Treatment Shouldn’t Put Education on Pause

ABA therapy can help children make important and meaningful progress in communication, behavior, social engagement, daily living skills, and independence. For many families, ABA is a non-negotiable treatment.
But, unfortunately, insurance-funded treatment does not include academic instruction.
Mission Ready Academy helps fill that gap.
In our program, your child continues receiving ABA according to their clinical treatment plan. During separate academic instruction, Academy staff help your child work toward personalized learning goals in a setting designed to understand and support their needs.
The two services are coordinated—but remain separate programs with distinct goals, schedules, records, and funding.
The best part? It all happens under the same roof. No transportation back and forth needed!

What Kind of Schooling Does Mission Ready Academy Provide?
Individualized or Small Group Instruction
Depending on their needs, kids may receive one-on-one instruction or be in a small group setting with other kids their age. This allows the teacher to match each child’s pace, communication style, and support needs. Small groups also create opportunities to practice classroom routines and learning alongside others.
Reading, Writing, and Math
Instruction begins with what your child can do now, and then builds from there. Reading may include phonics, vocabulary, fluency, and comprehension; writing may include handwriting, spelling, and written communication; math may include counting, operations, time, money, and problem-solving.
Foundational and Functional Academics
These refer to the building blocks that every child should learn. Foundational academics include early skills such as letter recognition, counting, matching, sorting, and following directions. Functional academics focus on using reading, writing, and math in everyday life, such as understanding schedules, money, signs, forms, and instructions.
Ongoing Progress Monitoring
Teachers regularly review work samples, observations, assessments, and other learning data. This helps the team see what is working, identify where more support is needed, and adjust instruction over time.
At Utah's Standards
Academic goals may be connected to Utah’s grade-level standards or to the Essential Elements for students who need more accessible learning targets. These standards help guide instruction while allowing goals to be adapted to the student’s current abilities and needs.
Personalized Academic Plan
Each student receives an academic plan based on current strengths, learning needs, and what comes next. Goals may focus on entering full-time school, returning to school, building independence, or preparing for employment and community life. Their plan is updated as the student makes progress.
Regular Updates for Parents and Caregivers
Transparency is important to us. Families receive clear updates about current goals, progress, challenges, and changes to instruction. The goal is to help parents understand what their child is learning, why it matters, and how it supports the next step.
Same Convenient Location
Academic instruction takes place in the same Nova Supports clinic where your child receives ABA therapy. Families do not need to arrange transportation between separate therapy and school locations, making the day more consistent and convenient for everyone!
